Updated 27th May 2004
The Full Range which is also referred to as "The Apogee" was Apogee's first "full-range" ribbon speaker.
Jim in Australia tells me that his pair come with both passive (2 way) or active (2 or 3 way) crossovers, also they come apart into two sections, presumably because the combined weight/size would be too much for anyone to handle!
Correction to my previous description - the bass panel is constructed in the same way as the later models, aluminium on a Kapton backing, the midrange and tweeter ribbons are un-backed corrugated aluminium (thanks again Jim)
I found out recently that the Full Range was produced until 1994, and a large number of them were sold to the far east where there is a good market for very expensive speakers.
Also recently in the UK a pair in good condition sold for £3500, this was a sale from a dealer, so at a guess the price for a private UK sale would be around £2500-£3000
